SoGlos speaks at New Journalism Entrepreneurs masterclassSoGlos deputy editor James Fyrne had the pleasure of being on the panel of the ‘New Journalism Entrepreneurs’ masterclass held at City University London yesterday evening, invited to speak to the enthusiastic audience of students by Press Gazette editor Dominic Ponsford.
He joined former Sunday Times Magazine editor Robin Morgan, co-founder of the Brixton Blog Zoe Jewell and education journalist Janet Murray, explaining how independent online magazine SoGlos came about, its successful six year history and being hailed as one of the UK’s top independent online titles.
It was a great event and fantastic to meet the future stars of the media industry. While for SoGlos editor Michelle Fyrne it also brought back some great memories – as she attended many a lecture in the very same room having studied for her PGDip in Newspaper Journalism on City’s coveted course.
