A charity with more than 70 years’ experience of caring for the elderly in Gloucestershire, we couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce Lilian Faithfull Care as SoGlos’s newest sponsor for 2020.

Lilian Faithfull Care owns and operates five fantastic care homes and two ‘hubs’ located in Cheltenham and Stroud.

As a charity Lilian Faithfull provides care for the right reasons, not for profit, and uniquely offers a safe, stable, ‘Home for Life’.

Its services range from affordable flats, assisted living and residential care, through to nursing and day care – with each home benefiting from its own distinctive character, and all run by a passionate, well-trained team of dedicated staff.

The charity’s namesake and former Cheltenham Ladies’ College headmistress, Lilian Faithfull, created the organisation in 1946 after seeing Cheltenham’s population suffering in old age, despite having given so much during the war years.

Since 1946, Lilian Faithfull Care has expanded dramatically and continues to do so, from 12 residents living in one home, to 300 residents in seven homes, and over 450 staff.

‘We are delighted to sponsor SoGlos, an online magazine at the heart of celebrating every aspect of living in and enjoying Gloucestershire, which strikes a real chord for Lilian Faithfull Care and our work caring for the elderly in the county.

‘We look forward to working closely with the SoGlos team to share news about our homes and the remarkable lives of our residents’, said Kelly Richardson, marketing and fundraising manager at Lilian Faithful Care.

The Gloucestershire charity joins a prestigious collection of SoGlos sponsors, which includes Cheltenham Racecourse, the Everyman Theatre, Café Rene group, Stagecoach West, Cheltenham Festivals, Gloucester Rugby and Cheltenham Ladies’ College.

SoGlos will be helping to promote Lilian Faithfull Care and this unique charity’s work from January 2020. To find out more, visit lilianfaithfull.co.uk.
