SGGLA 2020 site visit to Cheltenham Ladies’ College

Excitement is building as the SoGlos team and SGGLA event partner, Oasis Events, made their first site visit to Cheltenham Ladies’ College last week – the setting for the SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards evening, being held on Thursday 28 May 2020.

With this being the third year of the awards, the team arrived armed with a hit list of plans to make SGGLA 2020 just as amazing as previous years – held at Blackfriars Priory in 2018 and Gloucester Cathedral in 2019. And, as well as planning a welcome for 400 guests at the stunning independent school, details such as the location of drinks and food partners, stage setup to welcome winners, AV and Facebook live streaming are all being carefully thought out… not to mention making sure goodie bags would be ready to be whisked away at the end of the evening.

Touring around a different iconic Gloucestershire venue each year, SGGLA’s 2020 home will be Cheltenham Ladies’ College’s Princess Hall, inside the main college site and what is one of the largest event venues in Cheltenham – elegant, striking and steeped in history, with pitch pine woodwork in dramatic Gothic style.

Princess Hall can hold over 800 guests in a theatre-style setup for a conference, 300 for a reception or 220 for banqueting. While the Cheltenham venue’s expert events team can plan for bespoke events of all shapes and sizes, including Gloucestershire’s definitive lifestyle awards evening next May 2020!
