Hoping to secure a rare lifestyle journalism position, we had more than 100 applications from across Gloucestershire and far beyond when we advertised our new editorial assistant vacancy.
Candidates were put through their paces with a series of interview stages to test everything from their writing skills to their passion for Gloucestershire – with six outstanding graduates making it through to the final interview round, and all truly impressing us with their professionalism and enthusiasm.
But, it was Amy Wright who impressed the team most – securing the role, not least because of her passion for SoGlos since embarking on her English language and creative writing degree at the University of Gloucestershire – for which she graduated with first class honours, as well as spending a year working as a digital content writer for a well-regarded local marketing agency.
Joining the SoGlos Editorial Hub as editorial assistant in August 2019, we’re delighted to have Amy onboard. Welcome to the team and congratulations, Amy!
