Following a 2010 win and being highly commended in 2011, 12 and 13, SoGlos has just been shortlisted for another prestigious EDF Energy South West Media Award – with this year’s results set to be revealed at a ceremony on 3 July 2014.
‘The EDF Energy Regional Media Awards, held in association with Hold the Front Page, are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. They honour the best in journalism across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. This year there were more than 300 entries, across 20 categories.’
Paul Linford, editor of Hold the Front Page, said: ‘We are proud to have been associated with these awards over the past nine years and grateful for the continued support and sponsorship of EDF Energy over that period.’
The South West region has really taken these awards to its heart over that period and once again it is great to see such a strong set of entries coming forward.’
Competing for the title of Website of the Year, SoGlos will go up against the digital versions of the Bristol Post, Swindon Advertiser and Plymouth Herald, as well as website TheExeterDaily.co.uk.
